Coronavirus has and is having a huge impact on all aspects of our lives, education is none the less effected than any other part of society. Schools and Universities have to abide by Government’s procedures and ensure that students are kept healthy when they are school and educated when they are at homeDuring this period of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) please be aware that Dover Christ Church Academy continues to remain in close contact with both Public Health England and the Department for Education and will be implementing any specific guidance that may be issued. Free school Meals
Following the recent announcement from the Government to close schools until at least the February half term we are again putting in place arrangements to provide free school meal vouchers to all eligible students. The Government provides schools with funding to cover benefits-related free school meals and we have been exploring the best possible arrangements to ensure that all eligible students are appropriately provided for. We have therefore decided that we will continue to issue vouchers in line with the procedures followed last year.
For the weeks commencing 4th and 11th January we have issued Morrisons gift cards. For the remaining weeks to half term we are hoping to access the DfE voucher system again which may enable us to provide a paper voucher redeemable at Tesco, if possible we hope to issue a single voucher to cover all the remaining weeks.COVID-19 Downloads
