Learning to believe, learning to succeed.
International Baccalaureate Career Programme:

It is our intention from September 2017 to significantly enhance our post-16 offer through the provision of the International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme (IBCP).

The IBCP allows you to combine academic and vocational subjects with a focus on your chosen career. The programme enables you to achieve an internationally recognised qualification that broadens access to your chosen pathway while developing you as an internationally-minded lifelong learner ready to make a meaningful contribution to a just and sustainable future for the local and global community.

The IBCP enables you to choose a career-related course that is most suited to you while the ‘core’ curriculum provides an educational experience that puts a strong focus on your individual needs. This unique IB Core programme, focuses on developing students in Personal and Professional Skills, language development, through shared service learning and the completion of a reflective project focused on your chosen area of career-related study.

We have worked closely with our Sponsor Canterbury Christ Church University in identifying clear progression routes from our proposed IBCP course into degree level study at CCCU.

Dover Christ Church Academy are proud to announce that in July 2017 we were successfully accredited as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. This means that DCCA is now able to offer the International Baccalaureate Careers Programme (IBCP) to our Post 16 students from September 2017. This shows our commitments to a high quality, challenging, internationally minded education that is recognised worldwide. Even though this programme is specifically focused at Post 16 students this ethos will reflect the Learner Profile throughout the Academy offering a rich and diverse curriculum for all students.
