Learning to believe, learning to succeed.
International Baccalaureate Career Programme:

It is our intention from September 2017 to significantly enhance our post-16 offer through the provision of the International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme (IBCP).

The IBCP allows you to combine academic and vocational subjects with a focus on your chosen career. The programme enables you to achieve an internationally recognised qualification that broadens access to your chosen pathway while developing you as an internationally-minded lifelong learner ready to make a meaningful contribution to a just and sustainable future for the local and global community.

The IBCP enables you to choose a career-related course that is most suited to you while the ‘core’ curriculum provides an educational experience that puts a strong focus on your individual needs. This unique IB Core programme, focuses on developing students in Personal and Professional Skills, language development, through shared service learning and the completion of a reflective project focused on your chosen area of career-related study.

We have worked closely with our Sponsor Canterbury Christ Church University in identifying clear progression routes from our proposed IBCP course into degree level study at CCCU.

Dover Christ Church Academy is a candidate school* for the Career- related Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Dover Christ Church Academy believes is important for our students.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit
